Leaving a Trace in the Gunnison Valley

As Colorado continues to grow, so does the outdoor recreation and tourism industries.  An increase in visitors provides economic growth and stability to local communities such as Crested Butte, Colorado but can impact research and public lands.

Last spring I had the opportunity to work with Western State Colorado Graduate candidate Gillian Rossi on her final culminating project and a stewardship program she was developing as a solution to the increase of people enjoying public lands in the Gunnison Valley.
